Frequently Asked Questions

  • Virtual Treatment Session OR In-Person Treatment or Assessment Session (in client home or community location) - $135/hr + HST.

    In-person visits outside of Barrie and Innisfil are subject to additional travel fees of $0.68/km.

    We understand the cost of services can be challenging for some clients, and aim to make the most of our time together. We are happy to work with you regarding the number of sessions that works best for you and your family.

  • Some extended health insurance plans do provide funding for OT services, please check your individual plan details. A receipt will be provided after each session and will indicate the primary client’s name for reimbursement purposes.

    Occupational Therapy services are covered under the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) CLICK HERE to see if your child is eligible for funding.

    OT is not covered under OHIP.

  • Yes! I see clients in-person throughout the GTA and virtually throughout Ontario.

  • After your discovery call, we will have an in-person initial assessment and will work together to determine what type of sessions would be right for you. .

  • You never have to commit to additional sessions, and it is always your choice how many sessions and the frequency of sessions you would like.

    The number of sessions recommended depends on a variety of factors including type and number of goals as well as client ability and engagement.

    Typically sessions are planned with the framework of 5 sessions blocks (once a week for 5 weeks) after the initial assessment which will allow appropriate time to introduce, practice, apply and adjust concepts and strategies.

    There is complete flexibility regarding session frequency and number, and we will continue to work together to check in regarding progress and planning for future sessions.

  • Yes! Reports can support accommodations and interventions from other professionals such as teachers and doctors, and can be provided at an additional fee. Feel free to contact us directly for more information.

  • Yes! I have a variety of experiences in education, research, presentation and leadership. This includes family information sessions on sensory regulation, psychoeducational group facilitation, conference presentations on current research, as well as media interviews advocating for community programs.
